Is Google Ignoring Your Blog? 5 Steps to Index Blog in SERP

Every new blogger does face one critical situation which is not getting a good or better ranking on Google even though they write their blog post very passionately, but never see enough ranking and because of this they lose interest in Blogging.

I can relate to this because even when I started my blogging journey in 2014, I faced the same issue and each time the only question moving throughout my blogging journey was,

Why are my posts not getting indexed on Google search?

Well, there could be various technical reasons or even a few SEO related things which new bloggers might ignore, so to make your blog post visible on search engines, you should follow all the things which I am going to share in this blog post.

How to Index a Blog Post in Google Search (2026 Proven)

So friends, myself Tanvi Sawle and I am doing blogging since 2014 and today I am going to share a few proven steps which you should not avoid.

Because Google keeps updating their policies and even the Google algorithm effect could be a big reason for not getting your articles indexed on search engines.

How to Index a Blog Post in Google

If you have recently started your blog a week or a month ago, you don’t have to worry about getting it published or indexed on search engine results, as new posts shouldn’t get that much reach.

But if your blog is more than 4 to 6 months old and still your posts are not getting indexed, then this could be a big issue.

So without wasting any further time, let’s talk about these six proven tips which can really get your post indexed.

But before moving further, please make sure to be patient as indexing your content on Google search isn’t a one night magic, you have to wait for at least 24 hours to 48 hours.

1. Content Optimization

Yes, you heard it right, content optimization is one of the biggest SEO factors which you should not ignore as many new bloggers don’t write SEO friendly content.

Now, what does SEO friendly content mean? Well, to answer this let me tell you few simple things.

The first thing is, you should start working on low competition keywords because if you target a highly competitive keyword, then there are many possibilities of not getting the ranking which your content deserves.

Second thing is using appropriate heading tags as every content structure should be formatted in the simplest way and heading tags such as H1, H2, H3 are main headings which also help your reader to keep them engaged.

Blog title and Meta description is also one of the best practices you can do as your Meta description helps users to understand what kind of content you are providing them.

Basically it is just a small summarization of your content and the blog post title should be attractive which is going to convert your viewer into a blog post reader.

2. Internal and External Linking

I know we have talked about this topic many times, but still internal linking is one of the best SEO techniques you should work with, as attaching your previous blog post or related post into that content helps readers to go through that article.

And if you are talking about another website or a product or anything which is related to outside of your website, then you should also link that particular website or content link into your post.

3. Quality Content

Yes, in 2026 I am going to tell you my biggest formula of getting the highest ranking on SERPs. I do use AI such as Perplexity or Claude AI but for only research purposes.

I never copy paste those articles into my website, why?

Because AI generated articles are not unique. Basically those are articles or content which is already available on the Internet or in the data, which actually loses the uniqueness.

Even though AI generated articles might serve a good meaning, but we can’t say that article is original or even unique.

So a human written article should be the priority, and if you are really serious about blogging and looking forward to long term success, then I would recommend you to give more priority to uniqueness.

If you write quality content then the audience will keep scrolling your content till they find it irrelevant.

    4. FAQ Section

Well, many newbie bloggers don’t use FAQ sections in the blog post and I don’t know why they avoid it, because adding FAQs into your content makes it more helpful for crawlers to get an understanding about your article and also for your readers.

And make sure to keep the FAQ section very simple. If you are writing 4 or 5 FAQs then the question and its answer should be one liner. That’s how FAQs should be.

      5. Website Design

Mostly in blogging I only recommend 2-3 themes to my students which are WP Astra, GeneratePress and Hello Theme with Elementor, my best picks of all time for blogging.

As all these themes are very lightweight and they don’t contain heavy CSS or any other framework and they are beginner friendly and customizable.

And make sure to keep your website design very simple and minimalistic as simple designs nowadays get more attraction than a heavy loaded stuffed website.

And if you are using good quality hosting, then obviously your blog loading speed will be much faster than any heavy loaded theme.

        6. Social Media Link Sharing

Social media is a big game for new bloggers as sharing your content on Reddit, Facebook or even in YouTube descriptions will help your blog to get more reach.

And this is not just about getting traffic, but also when users come to your website through social media, Google actually tracks it and if the user is reading your article for more than a minute then that user counts as a true blog reader.

And please do use Google Analytics to track user engagement or to track all your blog readers’ sessions and engagement, and your blog bounce rate should be very less.

          My Final Words

So guys, if you all follow these six steps then trust me on this one, your blog will surely get indexed on Google way more faster and yes, you should always follow ethical blogging.

Blogging is all about consistency and providing quality content, so whenever you publish content, make sure to keep that consistency. Always publish at least two articles a week.

I have shared my 12 years of blogging, best SEO rules and practices, so please follow them and be serious in your blogging journey.
